J. Paul Kelleher, PhD

Upon completion of his fellowship at the Harvard University Program in Ethics and Health, Dr. Kelleher obtained a position as Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the Department of Medical History and Bioethics.

Paul Kelleher received his PhD in philosophy from Cornell University in 2008. His dissertation concerned the political liberalism/perfectionism debate in political philosophy. Paul’s areas of research are social and political philosophy and biomedical ethics. He is especially interested in the foundations of justice in health and health care, and in the proper response to moral disagreement in bioethics, health care policy, and the regulation of the medical professions.
